What is the GVWR of my vehicle?
The GVWR is the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. The GVWR is the total weight of the bus including passengers, cargo, etc.
What are the CDL limitations?
The federal regulations for needing a CDL are carrying 16 passengers or MORE. If you are driving with 15 passengers or less, you are not required to have a CDL. However, there are a few states that have more restricting regulations.
What are flip seats?
Flip seats are seats that are designed to fold up and create more room in the rear of the bus allowing to make it easier to strap down wheelchairs. They usually can be done in three steps, and are also known as three step foldaways.
Do you have finance options available?
Yes, we have financing options available both in-house and through some of our preferred lenders.
Do you deliver?
Yes. TESCO delivers to all 50 states and Canada. We employ over 20 professional drivers that can perform vehicle orientation at the time of delivery to help with any questions you may have about your vehicle.
Do your used vehicles come with any type of warranty?
Yes. TESCO offers extended warranty options on all used buses through Guardian Warranty Corporation. Extended warranty is also available on new bus bodies and chassis through the OEM manufacturers.
What do I need to transfer the Ohio title to my state?
Motor vehicle registration requirements can vary from state to state. Please contact your sales representative or our titling department for help on registration of your bus.
Where can I find my bus’s identification numbers like the chassis, VIN and body serial number?
Unlike a car, most minibuses have two vehicle identification numbers. The primary number is the chassis VIN which is similar to an automobile. The other number is the serial number used by the bus body manufacturer. TESCO uses these numbers to identify the correct replacement parts for that specific vehicle. Typically, both of these numbers along with the GVWR can be found in the driver’s side door jam. We also have a video explaining how to find these numbers HERE.
How can I pay for my bus?
Bus purchases can be made by wire transfer and/or certified cashier’s check. In some instances, company checks suffice, however this may delay the processing of title work. Deposits can also be made on buses with a credit card.
How can I pay for my parts?
TESCO can accept VISA or MasterCard payments for parts, or C.O.D. orders as well. If you would like to set up a billing account for parts purchases, ask your parts sales rep for a credit application.
Do you offer any church discounts?
Yes, ministry discounts are available. TESCO knows that ministry budgets can be tight and we will do everything we can to help.
What is the closest major airport to fly into?
Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). Toledo Express also another option. Let us know when you are coming and we may be able to arrange a pickup from the airport!
Do you take in trades?
With all trades, we ask our customers to fill out a used vehicle evaluation form along with some pictures before a trade value can be given.
